Описание: Common Cruiser (Vindula erota) is a genus of butterflies of the subfamily Heliconiinae in the family Nymphalidae, widespread in forested areas of Southeast Asia and Australia (rarely found in urban parks and gardens), often found in Singapore. The male and female species of Cruiser butterfly are very distinctly different in appearance. While during the wet season the male has bright orange-yellow coloring with black markings, the female is colored in olive green with white discal band. On the hind wings, there are large orange-yellow spots, as 'peacock eyes'. During the dry season, the female's ground color is a pale greenish grey. The female has usually larger size.
