Beschreibung: Eilean Donan Castle with its enchantingly beautiful reflection in the water at dusk, surrounded by majestic scenery, is one of the most iconic landmarks in UK and in the world. The castle was built in the 13th century (1220), on a small island in Loch Duich in western highlands of Scotland, for defence against Vikings. The castle was named after Bishop Donan who arrived in the country in the 6th century. After it has been rebuilt several times, since 1932 the Eilean Donan Castle was re-opened to public.
