Descripción National flag and the 'Coat of Arms' of Republic of Bulgaria with an inscription 'Unity makes strength', marking the country's National Holiday and 134th anniversary of liberation from the five centuries of Ottoman domination. On March 3, 1878, was signed the Peace Treaty of San Stefano and was set up an autonomous Bulgarian principality within the Ottoman Empire. Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878 led to the re-establishment of a Bulgarian state and since 1888, 3rd of March becomes Bulgaria's Day of Independence.
