Description:

Old Bulgarian houses in Kovachevitsa village, situated in the western Rhodope Mountains, Blagoevgrad Province, Bulgaria. The houses, in one of the most famous and beautiful Bulgarian villages, are built almost entirely of stone, including rooftops. Only their last floor is made of wood. Kovachevica village was declared an architectural reserve because of its picturesque Renaissance architecture.
