Beautiful fall landscape with an arched wooden bridge in Japanese Garden of Royal Roads University British Columbia, Canada. Today, Royal Roads University (former Royal Roads Military College) has 565-acre (2.29 km2) estate near Hatley Castle, in the Hatley Park National Historic Site, on the Esquimalt Lagoon. Hatley Park is organized into distinct landscape zones, recreational spaces, agricultural lands, surrounding forests, and one of the most beautiful Japanese, Italian and Rose gardens in the world. The overall layout for the entire Hatley Gardens was developed by American landscape architects, in 1912.
