A lovely specie of crocus heuffelianus 'Snow Princess', which is distinguished by the brilliant dark purple markings on its white petals. Occurs over a wide area of the Balkans, Austria and Northeastern Italy, in grassy clearings and in wooded areas, wet from snow-melt.
