Many animals love eat sunflowers, but the cute squirrel is the most common sunflower thief. Squirrels go nuts for sunflowers and often rob the seeds from bird feeders.
In the field, squirrels eat the actual sunflower, after they gnaw through the stem beneath the flower and take the entire seed.
