Tourists are walking between intricate sculptures and replicas of fairy tale palaces, made from ice blocks of the nearby Songhua River, which are illuminated each night after nightfall, during the annual International Ice and Snow Festival, in Harbin, the northernmost major city in China and a capital of Heilongjiang province (January, 2010).
