Beschreibung: St. Tatiana as a martyr of the first centuries of Christianity, is venerated in the Orthodox and Catholic churches, but mostly among Eastern Christians and Slavic countries.
St. Tatiana lived at the beginning of III century in Rome. Since childhood, she was brought up in the Christian faith, virtue and hard work. After refusing to worship to the pagan gods, she was beheaded on January 12, around AD 225.
Holy Martyr Tatiana is protector of all women named Tatiana.
In Russia, Saint martyr Tatiana is the patroness of students. On January 12 (25) in 1755, Empress Elizabeth signed a decree on the opening of the Moscow University and since then, the Tatiana's Day began to be celebrated as birthday of the University and, later, as a celebration of all students. It is believed that prayer to Saint Martyr Tatiana, helps not only academically, but also in the business affairs and the career growth.
