Orange oak bolete (Leccinum aurantiacum), is a species of fungus in the genus Leccinum in the family Boletaceae. The genus has a widespread distribution in forests of Europe, North America and Asia, especially in north temperate regions, and contains about 75 species. Generally, they are considered edible and can be cooked like the other edible boletes. But due to a number of poisonings after eating as yet unidentified members of the genus, Leccinum may not be considered safe to eat.
