White Peacock (Anartia jatrophae) is a species of butterfly, widespread in the Central America and the Caribbean, as well as in southern Texas and Florida. White peacock butterflies are commonly found in warm, open, weedy areas, such as fields or parks where water is abundant, in the form of pond or stream. The male white peacocks aggressively protect from other insects a territory typically 15 meters in diameter that contains host plants.
The white peacock butterfly has fast erratic flight that makes it difficult to attack by the insectivorous birds.
