The king cheetah (known as Cooper's), is an extremely rare, regal and beautiful animal, a variation of the cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), slightly larger with bigger and darker spots on the fur, mutation, caused by a recessive gene. In the world, there are totally around 60 animals, as only 10 of them are in the wild in a few remote areas of Zimbabwe, Botswana and in the northern part of Transvaal province, South Africa. In captivity theese cats are breeding by the DeWildt Cheetah Research Centre in Pretoria.
