Description: The Royal Palace of Madrid (The Palacio Real de Madrid), which is believed to be the largest palace in Europe, is the official palace of the Spanish monarchy and today is only used for official state functions and ceremonies, partially open to public. The King of Spain, Juan Carlos and the Royal Family reside in the more modest Zarzuela Palace (Palacio de la Zarzuela), located in the El Pardo complex at the outskirts of Madrid.
