Five Olympic rings illuminate the stadium in Stratford, east London, during the spectacular, breathtaking opening ceremony of the XXX Summer Olympics in the UK (July 27, 2012). The Olympic rings, seemingly made from molten steel in a shower of sparks, were lifted by giant balloons into space with an attached camera, to obtain pictures at the end of the night.
