The royal barge Gloriana carries the torch with the Olympic flame on the final day of its journey down the river Thames, past the houses of Parliament, towards the London Olympic Stadium, for the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in UK on July 27, 2012. The British royal barge was commissioned by Lord Sterling and Charles, the Prince of Wales, as a tribute to the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen. The royal barge Gloriana is a 28.6 meter long (94 ft), powered by 18 rowers and and inboard engine and for 34 passengers and crew.
