The koala is one of the symbols and best known animals of Australia. Koalas, this cute cuddly creatures live at the hills and plains along the coastal areas of eastern Australia, from Adelaide to the southern part of Cape York Peninsulaр where they feed off the leaves of the eucalyptus trees. The koala is not a bear and the name is mistakenly taken to mean 'doesn't drink', because it gets enough fluids through the eucalyptus leaves.
