A view on Mount Assiniboine, during a flight from Vancouver to Calgary and Mt Assiniboine, which is the highest peak in the Southern Continental Ranges of the Canadian Rockies with its 3,618 m (11,870 ft). Due to its pyramidal shape, the high winds, freezing temperatures and a dangerous challenge for mountaineers, Mount Assiniboine has been called the 'Matterhorn' of Canada in North America.
