Description: Traditional Bulgarian martenitsa, a decoration from the folk art, made of red and white threads and carved wooden souvenir for a vial with Bulgarian rose oil. The 'Martenitsa' is related to the Bulgarian custom 'Baba Marta' (Grandma March) and symbolises the end of the winter and the beginning of the spring. Bulgarians give each other 'Martenitsa' on the first day of March with the belief that it brings good luck and health.
