The shamrock is a white clover with three leaves (trefoil). Shamrock is a traditional Irish symbol, which according to an legend has been used by Saint Patrick to illustrate the Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity. According to an another legend, St. Patrick has planted shamrock throughout Ireland to drive out the snakes.
