Common Cruiser (Vindula erota) is a genus of butterflies of the subfamily Heliconiinae in the family Nymphalidae, widespread in forested areas of Southeast Asia and Australia (rarely found in urban parks and gardens), often found in Singapore. The male and female species are very distinctly different in appearance. The male of Cruiser butterfly during the wet season has bright orange-yellow coloring on the upper side with black markings. During the dry season, its ground color is very much paler with smaller and faintly defined markings.
