Scarlet Mormon Butterfly Male Description: 
Scarlet Mormon or Red Mormon, also known as the scarlet swallowtail (Papilio rumanzovia) is a butterfly of Papilionidae family, widespread in Australia, parts of eastern Indonesia, the Philippines and in southern Taiwan. It is inhabiting coastal lowlands, mountains, forests and areas where there is an abundance of flowers.
The Scarlet Mormon is a very impressive black butterfly, with no tails on the hind wings and wingspan about 120–140 mm. The male has black fore wings marked with delicate white lines and great distinctive red markings on hind wings. The caterpillars feed on the leaves and flowers of citrus plants. As predators of the Scarlet Swallowtail butterfly may be indicated some species of carnivorous insects and spiders, as well as frogs, birds and lizards.
