Beautiful landscape with fall colors of the Old Mill, located on the property of Berry College of arts in Mount Berry, just north of Rome, Georgia, USA. The extra-large wooden wheel and the stone house of the Old Mill at Berry College was constructed in 1930 by student workers and completely rebuilt during 1977's. The waterwheel of the Old Mill is considered one of the largest in the world with its 42 feet in diameter and three feet in width. The water arrives from the Berry lake and by force of gravity the wheel turns. Producing cornmeal, grits and wheat, which were locally grown at the college, helped to feed students during the Depression Era.
