The canton of Valais has unique majestic mountains with four-thousand-meter-high peaks, the best known of which is the Matterhorn and fascinating glaciers, forests, lakes, mountain pastures, castles, churches and a wealth of resort towns, as Crans-Montana, Saas Fee and Zermatt, which beckon a year-round travelers. The sun's rays light up the wonderful countryside of the valley 300 days a year.
