Awesome view in autumn colors over the Islands in the Storavatnet lake, Sandnes municipality, in Rogaland county, at Stavanger peninsula, Norway, about 10 kilometers northeast of the city of Sandnes. The Storavatnet is a large inland lake, located in a lovely flat country, roundabout with small hills up to 500 meters above sea level. The city of Sandnes is named after an old farm, where the city center is located today, which means 'sandy beach' and 'headland'. It has a population of about 63000 inhabitants, and forms a conurbation with the located about 15 kilometers north of it city of Stavanger.
