In 2017, the Chinese New Year falls on January 28, the Year of the Rooster, also called the year of the 'Red Fire Chicken'. The celebrations start on January 27, New Year's Eve, and continued for around two weeks. Chinese New Year is a movable celebration because it is based on the lunar calendar.
On the whole, the Roosters are healthy and active, amusing, outspoken, honest, loyal, talkative and charming. Fire roosters are known for that they are trustworthy, punctual and responsible at work and guardian of the family values.
