Grapes Chardonnay Descripción
Chardonnay is a white wine grape, made from a relatively 'low-maintenance' vine, that adapts well to a variety of climates, resulting in fairly high yields worldwide.
Purest Chardonnay is from Chablis, South of France, the town at the center of Burgundy’s northernmost region. The grapes prosper in the cool climate and clay-limestone soil.
The popular white wine Chardonnay is a dry wine, made from the green-skinned Chardonnay grape, which is a cross between the Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc varieties. It typically has tropical fruit flavors (pineapple, papaya, and mango) although it's not sweet.
Seek out Chardonnay wines that are not aged in oak.
Like all whites, Chardonnay should be served chilled.
