The martisor in shape of a four-leaf clover represents a hope, faith, love and is symbol of the good luck.
The 'Martisor' is a spring tradition in Romania, which is celebrated on March 1, marking the changing of seasons and the beginning of spring, the first of series holidays in March.
Between March 1 and March 8 men usually offer women martisoare, small symbolic items, such as handmade flowers, jewelry and figurines, tied with a red and white entwined cord, as a sign of respect and love.
