The wild bobcat (Lynx rufus), also known as the red lynx, is a small lynx of North America. It ranges from southern Canada to Oaxaca in Mexico.
Bobcats rarely attack people. It is more likely that they come to visit you, attracted by domestic animals, water, and shade or other shelter.
