Oudemansiella mucida, commonly known as Porcelain mushrooms, are a fungus of the Physalacriaceae family, widespread to Europe. Oudemansiella mucida are delicate, white, slimy mushrooms, resembling porcelain or egg white, and grow in clusters on dead trees, fallen branches and rotting beech in late summer to late autumn. Porcelain fungus is considered as a good culinary mushroom, edible after washing and removing the mucus.
