Tutankhamun Falcon Pectoral Museum of Antiquities in Cairo Egypt Descripción

Pectoral adornment, which was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 at the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, in shape of a falcon, on display at the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. In the ancient Egipt, falcons have been a symbol of the Sun-god, due to the habit to fly high in the air, such as the sun rises in the sky every day. For the inlay have been used lapis lazuli, turquoise, carnelian, light blue glass and obsidian for the eye.
