Luna Moth Description: 
The Luna moth (Actias luna) with a wingspan of up to 114 mm is one of the largest moths, widespread in North America, northern Mexico, from Quebec to Nova Scotia in Canada, as far south as central Florida. The Luna moth is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth in the family Saturniidae, which appears more commonly at night, with long pointed hind wings and eye spots on them in order to confuse potential predators. The adults do not eat and live approximately one week solely to mate.
