Leopard Lacewing (Cethosia cyane) is one of most attractive butterfly species of the Heliconia family, widespread at the far east from India, Indochina and southern China to the Malay Peninsula, including Singapore.
The male and a female of the Leopard Lacewing do not look alike, which is called sexual dimorphism. The male is a very striking colored, with unique patterns on its wings, underneath, variegated with orange, red, white, black and blue, an artwork fluttering gracefully in the skies.
