Chapel 'Ascension of Christ' at the area of 'Cross Forest' in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, located near the village of Borovo, nestled in the beautiful nature of Southern Bulgaria. According to the legend, a small piece of the Holy Cross has been buried there and Cross Forest has emerged as one of the most mystical places in Bulgaria. Older people call it the 'Holy Mountain Rhodope' because, as they say, only there the night of 13th to 14th of September, the Lord comes himself, along with the saints, angels and archangels and most believers receive healing.
