Muscaria, are noted for their hallucinogenic properties, with the main psychoactive constituents being muscimol and its neurotoxic precursor ibotenic acid.
The ingestion causes somnolence or coma, hallucinations, seizure, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, and salivation.
